Breckland School is a school for the future, a school for the community, where children are treated as individuals and high standards are expected from all. Breckland School provides a secure environment for teaching and learning.
Introduction
It is Breckland School School’s policy that all students wear school uniform when attending school, or when participating in a school-organised event outside normal school hours. The Governing Body of the School decides on the uniform policy and it is the Principal’s responsibility to ensure the students keep to the rules. It is the parents’ and students’ responsibility to arrive at school in appropriate uniform daily.
Aims and Objectives
Our policy on school uniform is based on the notion that school uniform:
- Promotes a sense of pride in the school
- Is practical, smart and affordable
- Identifies students of the school and engenders a sense of community and belonging
- Promotes equality amongst the students in terms of appearance
Role of Families
We ask that all parents support the school uniform policy. We believe that parents have the duty to send their children to school correctly dressed and ready for their schoolwork. One of the responsibilities of parents is to ensure their child is wearing the correct uniform and that it is clean and in good repair.
