Starting Secondary School
The transition from primary to secondary school is a hugely significant stage in a child’s life and, therefore, also in the lives of their parents/carers. We understand this.
Students who are starting Year 7 at our school in September 2025 will receive information (via this website, via letter, and/or via their respective current Headteachers), which explains the strategies we have in place.
We will use these lines of communication to share key dates as and when we are able to decide them. If you have any questions about the transition process, please contact office@brecklandschool.co.uk or Miss Bussey (Assistant Headteacher) cbussey@brecklandschool.co.uk.
There are lots of really great resources our there to help support young people with the move to secondary school. We think this page on the BBC Bitesize website is a good example of that: https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/zj2grj6.
Our Transition Days will take place on Thursday 10th and Friday 11th July 2025.
